Faces & Places Of Pompey
Faces and Places of Pompey opened at The Keppel’s Head Hotel on Monday 28 September, running through to Friday 2 October 2026. It was a free exhibition of 100 photographs by local photographer Penny Plimmer, and part of the Portsmouth100 celebrations marking the city’s centenary year.
What Was Featured
100 Photographs: A collection of 100 portraits and local scenes highlighting everyday heroes, community volunteers, hidden corners, and iconic city views.
There was a bit more to it than just looking, too. People & businesses sponsored individual photographs, and all the money raised goes to Connors Toy Library. They’ve been supporting families for more than 50 years, giving children the toys, space and support they need to play, learn and grow.
Virtual Experience: A digital walk-through of the gallery was created by Future World 3D and hosted via Matterport
